Today it is World First Aid Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness on the importance of first aid!
First aid training covers different emergencies from trauma (cuts, burns, injuries, etc.) to medical conditions (allergic reactions, strokes…), and gives us the necessary tools to respond accordingly to each situation.
Being able to provide first aid to someone in need can not only help relieve their pain, but it can also potentially save their life.
📢 Having an updated first aid kit at home and in the car can also make a big difference in an emergency.
For more information, visit the IFRC Global First Aid Reference Centre’s website where you can find a variety of resources regarding different first aid topics, and/or get in touch with your national Red Cross or Red Crescent Society.
📌📌Remember: when in an emergency, always stay safe and alert first responders!
