Evnia celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this year’s theme is ‘𝙉𝙤-𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚’.

According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer with over 2 million cases occurring every year.

The WHO has launched the 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙄𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚, aiming to reduce mortality rates by 2.5% annually by 2040 focusing on 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙜𝙣𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.

𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙜𝙣𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 and that is precisely what makes us hopeful- a future where women with breast cancer not only survive but can also prevent the occurrence.

To achieve this, access to care should be universal and healthcare systems should be patient-centred and prioritising screening.

At Evnia, we are committed to patient safety and care by ensuring that innovative medical devices and tools for breast cancer detection and diagnosis achieve market access in a safe and timely manner.

We are excited to work with medical devices and manufacturers of medical products and to watch how artificial intelligence is revolutionising breast cancer diagnosis.

Join us in raising awareness by donning your pink ribbon!
