Today is World Health Day, a day established to raise awareness about health-related issues and advocate for improvements in global health.
This year’s theme is: My Health, My Right.
Today, more than half the world’s population lacks basic health services. The current situation in global health might seem disheartening, but at the same time, there are significant scientific and technological developments that allow us to envision and strive for healthcare systems that can support diverse medical needs and that are accessible to all.
Evnia not only embraces the fundamental right to access to healthcare and medicine but also prioritises innovation by supporting manufacturers in developing and delivering healthcare solutions that have a clinically significant impact on healthcare systems, as well as on the quality of life of patients fighting with non-communicable diseases, rare diseases or any unmet clinical needs.
We believe it is imperative to engage the Medtech and Biotech communities in efforts of convergence, to harmonise and standardise clinical practices to improve deliverable care, but mostly to ensure universal health coverage, health equity, and alignment with sustainable development goals.
Our code of ethics is based on our commitment to help develop sustainable healthcare infrastructures that can accommodate early diagnosis and screening, and disease prevention policies, as well as a broader framework that will facilitate equitable care for all.
World Health Day is an opportunity to reflect on the introduction of risk assessment into primary care clinical practices, the development of digital healthcare ecosystems that will foster digitisation regimens for large-scale screening and prevention policies, as well as communication strategies that will promote preventive behaviors.
Focus on access to good health is a basic human right.
