International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed every year on December 3rd .

It is a day of raising awareness about persons with disabilities and their right of inclusion in all aspects of society. While there has been some progress, there is still a long way to go when it comes to creating a society where everyone can thrive.

The 2023 theme for #DPwD asks everyone to work together to make the world better and fairer for people with disability and talks about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At Evnia, we believe that we have a responsibility towards each other and the world around us. When it comes to persons with disabilities, that responsibility should be upheld by creating spaces where they can be heard and actively involved in policymaking.

Today can be a great opportunity to find out more about how you can support persons with disabilities and promote disability inclusion in your community. We would also like to invite you to join us in our support of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme an organisation close to our hearts that makes it easier for persons with invisible disabilities to navigate everyday life.
